The many various comments continue to pour in to (Fr.) John Corapi's blog, The Black Sheepdog.

Many of them are absolutely shocking. Shocking. We love being shocked and shocking others. Shock value is high in our culture because it gets people's attention in an age of information overload, and because it sells.
And who doesn't want more attention and money?
Those who live in imitation of Christ.
I just had to leave the following comment in response this morning:
May each of us, first and foremost, address the beams in our own eyes. Each of us will stand in judgment before God for our own behavior, not for the actions of anyone else. Our adversary seeks to divide and conquer, and many of us are working for him unaware. I see his fingerprints all over so many of the angry, vengeful, hateful comments left here. No matter what any circumstances of any situation are, we must always seek to live in imitation of Christ. Each of us will reap what we sow.
May we treat other people as we would like to be treated, as God Himself has commanded us to treat one another, and as respectfully as He treats each one of us. Tremendous unresolved pain is evident in many of the comments left here. May we actively seek to heal our own wounds so that we can continue our discipleships free from the chains of hurt, regret, and remorse that bind us and continue to harm us and others. The Sacrament of Reconciliation, seeking forgiveness while forgiving others, is so powerful and effective. God wants to work, in each one of us.
Rest assured there is no situation in which God is absent, and He is so in love with us! God sure is at work in Fr. Corapi! Be assured of my prayers, each one of you, and I beg yours. Thank you.
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” ~Matthew 22:36-40
Shortly thereafter, this was posted by Victor R:
No priest in the USA has spoken so clearly and converted not only secular “Catholics,” but people of other religions, denominations and also people with no religion at all. Those who badmouth Father Corapi are “like the ducks that want to outsmart the shotgun” (this is an 0ld Spanish saying).
There is no other explanation about why some Catholics are taking advantage of Father Corapi’s temporary trial and suspension of public ministry, by insulting him: at some point they felt offended by father’s preaching against abortionists, unrepentant homosexuals, new age junkies, same sex marriage supporters, embryos research and euthanasia advocates. Those anti- Roman Catholics simply respond to their lowest instincts and hate the guidance of the Holy Spirit through the magisterium of the church and our Holly father which are perfectly represented by father Corapi.
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and in the hour of our death. Amen.
Amen.
Most certainly our loving Savior and our Blessed Motherdid not treat even Judas the way we treat one another!
May we live in imitation of Jesus and Mary, His Mother.
