Chasing Clouds and Sunrises

Sharing the exquisitely beautiful love of God.

The last few weeks I have become a cloud and sunrise chaser. They have been so exceptionally beautiful! Ever since school started, my children and I have encountered such beautiful sunrises as well as exquisite cloud formations while on our way to school and Holy Mass.

For just a few precious minutes last week, an orange glow shaded the tips of the clouds and the effect was just extraordinary, quite a visual tribute to the Divine Artist. It was a scene that begged to be shared. Having had no opportunity to acquire the images on the way, I headed back toward the better views of the clouds after dropping off my children off at their schools. However, by then it was too late. The colors had changed and the extraordinary sight was gone.

This morning, after dropping my children off at school, I spotted another beautiful sunrise and kept a sharp eye out for an opportunity to capture the beautiful sight without power lines and obstructing buildings and trees. On the way to church, I knew time was of the essence and that soon, the striking image would be gone. The sun was rising above the clouds.

Unfortunately, there just was no opportunity to take the picture. Nevertheless, while turning into the church parking lot, the awe remained as did the deep gratitude for the magnificent display that God had gifted the world with as our newest day began. "Lord, I guess this one will also remain between just You and me today."

Then, while driving into my favored parking place, I spotted an orange glow to the east. Between two trees on church property, the sun was waiting for me to take its picture so I could share this beautiful display of God's amazing artistry and intellect with you.

God is so in love with us.

Thank you, God!

I love You back.
