The Catholic Revolver With Jerry - Where Everything Revolves Around The Catholic Church

The authentic Catholic, life-changing show will celebrate its second anniversary in March 2012. Great new things are on the horizon for The Catholic Revolver with Jerry!

If you have not yet heard, the show left blogtalkradio and has moved to its own home at www.catholicrevolver.com. The show's website is still under construction but don't mind the dust; the site is very welcoming and you can hear some of the latest shows, as well as some of the old archives that have been moved over. Eventually, all of the old show's archives will be moved to the new site.

Denise Bossert, virtuous host of the show’s "Catholic By Grace" segment since the show moved to catholicrevolver.com, is unfortunately leaving the show. However, Jerry is pleased to welcome Tina Mahar to the Catholic Revolver team. Tina is a tremendous defender of life who regularly shares thought-provoking pro-life messages on Facebook. Tina will host “Voices for Life,” a new segment on The Catholic Revolver which will debut in the coming months.

The sound quality of the show is already much better than it was on its former blogtalkradio format, but the show intends to provide FM radio quality sound as soon as possible. Plans are in the works to complete the show's official website, to interview Catholic priests, apologists, and other experts in Catholicism, and to complete an audio promo for the show to be run on other Catholic Podcasts. The show is also considering adding one more member to the Catholic Revolver team to host another regular segment.

Jerry is often asked if he would ever like to see The Catholic Revolver hit the Catholic airwaves on traditional radio. His answer, at least for now, is no. Jerry explains, "I have complete control over the show in it's current form. I can interview guests from all walks of life, and I can create shows of different lengths, add my own creative touch to them, etc. The constraints of traditional radio would limit where the show could go, and I believe that the direction of the show would be more in the hands of a producer or station director. Of course, the show itself is ultimately in God's hands, and I'm simply using the talents he has blessed me with in order to create it!"

Another thing Jerry is often asked is if the podcast is his career. The answer to that, says Jerry, is also no. "It's a ministry, and a hobby. I have a regular job like most people do, and I have other talents that God blessed me with that I'm able to use in my career. With that said, I plan on hosting The Catholic Revolver for many years to come. "If I ever have children one day, I could see myself passing the show on to one or all of them in the event that I was not able to host the show anymore. So perhaps The Catholic Revolver with Jerry is going to end up being a long and proud family tradition? We shall see!" said Jerry with a smile.

Regarding a possible co-host someday, “At first I was open to it but now I don’t think it’s necessary” said Jerry. “While I’m no longer desiring a co-host at the moment, if it’s in God’s plans for me to be married someday, I would like my future wife to become a big part of the show. That would also include co-hosting at times.”

One final thing worth noting, as Jerry mentioned in a recent show on this particular topic, is that while he is simply the instrument that God is using to make the show happen, credit for the show and it's success belongs entirely to God. As a public figure, Jerry knows well the responsibility that goes along with being in the public eye. He reminds us that "We are all wise to remember that due to our fallen human nature we all make mistakes and every one of us is attacked by the enemy, who seeks to divide and conquer. May we remember to use our talents to build up the Body of Christ of which we are members, and pray for one another as we strive and sometimes struggle to become saints."

Be sure to tune in to The Catholic Revolver With Jerry. The show is accomplishing great good for precious, eternal souls and is bringing greater honor and glory to the Blessed Trinity. The show covers many different topics, all of which are so helpful to listeners who strive to accomplish the will of God in their lives. His questions are informative, interesting, and get to the heart of what people need to know, and he makes guests feel very comfortable and at ease. And Jerry is very, very funny! He is a wonderful radio host, a fine Catholic, a necessary defender of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, and a great friend.

God is at work in you, Jerry!

Jerry is a Southern California native who has also spent time living in Arizona, and plans to one day reside in the Texas Hill Country. Although Jerry is a Cradle Catholic, he never received all of his Sacraments until the 2011 Easter Vigil, when he was officially entered into the Church. Welcome home Jerry!! A lover of music, sports, and of course podcasting, Jerry also finds great enjoyment in landscaping and home improvement projects. The newest edition to Jerry’s life, his girlfriend Brenda, is completely open and ready to become Catholic and will be starting the RCIA process as soon as possible. Who knows, maybe Brenda will become a big part of The Catholic Revolver someday! ;)
