Abortion Providers, Planned Parenthood, Health Care Providers, Politicians, Volunteers, and Voters Summoned To Look Truth In The Eye

Everyone's life purpose includes valuing and defending human life and the majesty of God.

Where we stand absolutely does matter.  It is a matter of life and death.

My children and I were getting into our vehicle, which was parked outside of the garage. I do not remember where we were headed, only that I was disappointed to unexpectedly see a woman walking up our long driveway, in our direction.  She approached us, smiling.

She didn't appear to be a solicitor.  I certainly hoped that she wasn't one.  My thoughts focused on the prospect of being delayed and on her smile as she drew near.  I could not even venture a guess as to what the woman could possibly want, but clearly, she wanted something.

By the time she arrived at where I was standing, by the open door of my vehicle,  my children had already taken their seats and looked on with interest.

The very friendly woman introduced herself and said that she was running for local office.  As soon as she stopped to take a breath, I asked her the one thing that matters most.

"What is your position regarding abortion?"

"I'm pro-life," she said with a smile.

"Good," I responded.

Then she said something that took me completely by surprise.

Guess what she said.

She said, "It doesn't matter for the office I'm running for."

"It absolutely does matter," I corrected her.

A vote in imitation of Christ is ALWAYS a pro-life vote,
for God commanded us,
"Thou shalt not kill."

How can any person running for public office ever say that his/her position on abortion does not matter.  How can anyone anywhere ever say that his/her position on abortion does not matter.

That is the equivalent of saying, "It does not matter whether I think killing people is right or wrong."

To think this way is absolutely illogical, especially for a society that prizes itself on being so savvy.  Abortion proves that we as a society are actually very, very gullible.

Why are we so gullible?  Because we are so self-centered.

Every one of us must make it a point to do all that we possibly can to bring about the peaceful end of the greatest humanitarian disaster in the history of the human race.

Being pro-life matters.  It matters a great deal.

No one who tells us that he/she believes it should be legal to kill people (that is what abortion does, it kills people) should ever get anyone's vote.

No pro-abortion/ or pro-choice candidate should ever get anyone's vote.  Never, ever.

Our elected officials are supposed to work for the good of the people.  If our elected officials support murder, then we know for certain that they will not work for the common good.

We are absolutely foolish to vote for any candidate that supports the killing of people by word and/or deed.  By doing so, we help them accomplish grave evil.

While every election involves matters of importance to the people, no other issue matters as much as where a candidate stands regarding the sanctity of human life.

The society that elects public officials that are in favor of legalized killing is the society that is handing over its other freedoms as well, for in the end, we always reap what we sow.

Procured abortion is "the deliberate and direct killing, by whatever means it is carried out, of a human being in the initial phase of his or her existence, extending from conception to birth." ~Pope John Paul II

We need to be redirected and truly inform ourselves about what abortion really is, and what effects it has on all of us.

Abortion is the intentional killing of human beings, and its effects on humanity are devistating and reach far beyond the immeasurable loss of innocent lives.

"...human life is not only a precious possession of man but is sacred because it belongs to God...Abortion is not only an injustice against an unborn human being;  it is the desecration of something holy.  Those in the pro-life movement who are Christians believe they are defending not only the equity of a human person.  They are defending the sanctity of human life and the majesty of God...Abortion is a criminal violation of the rights of God. "  ~Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J., The Catholic Church:  The Divinely Ordained Protector of Human Life

Fr. Hardon further stated that abortion is not only an offense against human dignity, but a crime against the Divinity.  "In its own way, abortion is a form of deicide.  It is an attack on God by trying to destroy what belongs to God."

He instructed us that "Our task, as believers, is to gain all the graces we can for those engaged in the abortion trade and for their tragic victims  Our hope is that they will respond to the graces they are receiving.

Pope John Paul II made the following points in his encyclical, The Gospel of Life:  In the consciences of many people today, the perception of the gravity of abortion has become progressively obscured.  Society's acceptance of abortion, in behavior and/or in law, is "an extremely dangerous crisis of the moral sense, which is becoming more and more incapable of distinguishing between good and evil, even when the fundamental right to life is at stake.  Given such a grave situation, we need now more than ever to have the courage to look the truth in the eye and to call things by their proper name, without yielding to convenient compromises or to the temptation of self-deception."  1

True Love Leads To Life is in the process of creating a groundbreaking brochure that will be downloadable for printing and sharing soon.  It will inform why abortion is wrong, and explain exactly what must be done to thwart the spread of this tremendous assault against humanity.

Look truth in the eye and see abortion for what it really is:  a grave evil, an assault against the dignity of the human person, and an offense against God.

One very important thing we must do every day is pray for an immediate and global end to abortion and also euthanasia.

God, the Creator of Life, is pro-life.
Are you?
