Happy 15th Birthday, Nick!

Truly, God is at work in you.

Tomorrow is a very special day, and there will be great joy and much merriment before and after school.  It will be a celebration of love and life, of adventure and opportunities, of the past, present, and future.  All throughout the day our family will give thanks to God for creating someone so charming and intelligent, courageous and practical, talented and caring.

Nick is so many things to so many people, truly a gift to our world.  We are so wise to welcome children.  It is impossible to imagine our lives without Nick, and his family is grateful for every moment we have been blessed to have him with us.

Children grow up so incredibly fast. Nick has been no exception.

The anniversary of Nick's birth makes tomorrow a celebration of life day.  Since every day is someone's birthday, every single day of the year is a pro-life celebration day!  Why?  Because God doesn't create us for nothing.

Wishing Nick a 15th birthday that is in every way
as special and as wonderful as he is,
while thanking God for giving us
the priceless gift of one another.

Blog post on Nick's 13th birthday in 2010:

Happy 13th Birthday, Nick!

For as long as we live, may we testify to love!

On March 14th, my son Nick will officially become a teenager, although I suspect he has been one in theory for quite a while now. Having an older brother and a younger sister gives him the unique perspective of enjoying the world through his brother's experiences and learning much while also enjoying the joys inherent to the younger world of his ten year-old sister.

Nick has a special distinction in our family. Before Nick was created I was told that he was coming. That advance knowledge confirms to me that God has good reason for creating every single person, reason that resonates beyond His great love for us through which He willed us into being.

It is because of my knowing of Nick before I knew him that leads me to delight in everything he does. Nick has so many diverse interests and talents. He makes friends very easily. Nick is skilled in so many areas that every single day is a unique and amazing adventure.

May the pictures in honor of Nick's life witness the tremendous value God places on every single, unique person. Hopefully they will remind you of your own talents and interests and your vital role in God's plan for humanity.

I like that practice very much." 1
