The next time you receive the
Precious Body and Blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ, during the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass, ask the Lord to take you to His tomb where His
Sacred Body was laid to rest following His Crucifixion.
Kneel
by His Body, which was battered, broken, and sacrificed for us all.
Love Him, thank Him, and worship Him. Accept His magnificent offer of
salvation and sanctification. Ask Him to help you die to yourself; ask Him to show you
how to continuously submit to His most perfect will. Beg him for the
wisdom, strength, and courage to live, love, serve, and patiently suffer
following His example.
Pray next to Him in the very tomb which holds the Body of our sweet and gentle Jesus. Having just received Him in the Eucharist, you are a tabernacle of the Blessed Sacrament. Have a conversation with Paradise as host of the Precious Host and as a vessel within the vessel. Pray for those most in need of His saving grace.
Such deeply meaningful meditations are of tremendous value to our souls, for they draw us into closer union with God. They are very, very intimate. Such moments are the
result of grace; they are incredibly holy, peaceful, and loving.
The
Lord shows us the way! May we open our hearts wide for Him, as He so generously opens His
Sacred Heart for us.
Love Him and honor Him, all the days of your life.
And never take the meaning of the word Sacrament for granted. Never.
God is at work in you! Have a lovely, lovely day. +
