GOD BLESS YOU ON THE GREAT FEAST OF THE HOLY FACE OF JESUS! This Catholic Devotion is also Marian and was given to us by our Lord Himself. Jesus has asked the faithful numerous times over the course of the past two hundred years to practice and spread this devotion worldwide. It is a very POWERFUL means of offering reparation to God the Father, of petitioning for the conversion of sinners, and of growing in personal holiness by leaps and bounds.

The following story is being shared with you to demonstrate the love God has for all of humanity in general, and for you in particular.
He had taken this soul through Lent during the past Advent, and revealed some details of His Passion.
When the student soul is willing, the Teacher appears. The Lord comes where He is welcomed, and He longs to have His love and mercy accepted by every precious, immortal soul He creates. That includes you!!
You matter to Him beyond anything else. Jesus longs to give you the fullest expression of His love, each and every single day.
Please accept His love. Accept His magnificent offer of salvation and sanctification.
Be sure that you are not settling for so little, by accepting all the world has to offer, when the Lord presents you with this priceless and matchless offer whose rewards are eternal.
Once the soul absolutely falls in love with the Lord after inviting Him into its life completely, on God's perfect terms instead of its own imperfect terms, it allows itself to then be guided by He who knows all things best.
It can occur that after the soul absolutely falls in love with the Sacraments, God will then dictate to the soul when it can receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
When that happens, the soul is sometimes made to wait for its own good, or for the sake of other souls, and always so the Lord can liberally shower upon it His delights.
That is exactly what happened to this particular soul just after Christmas. Jesus had been having it wait for an undisclosed point in time when He would allow it to return to that beautiful space beneath His Cross where sins are so liberally forgiven, and penitent souls are restored to His likeness.
The ways of the Lord are mysterious indeed at times, and it happened that yesterday the Lord presented Himself to this soul during a Holy Hour before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and with peaceful and humble yet incomprehensible and pure joy, gave it permission to return to the Confessional the next day, which is today.
Jesus really enjoyed presenting the great surprise that He had kept hidden.
This soul was well aware that the Lord was up to something wonderful, but had no idea what the Lord had in mind this particular time. He was very happy while issuing the reminder that He had planned all along to have this soul return to the Sacrament of Divine Intimacy on the great Feast of His Holy Face.
Truly, it felt like Christmas! What a beautiful, and priceless, present!!
The events are very interesting, because since Christmas, the Lord had this soul say the Novena prayer to St. Andrew many times ("Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most Pure Virgin Mary in a stable in Bethlehem in piercing cold..."), which it was delighted to do since by Divine Providence it had experienced Lent at Christmas.
Was Christmas coming just a little late?
Was Christmas coming just a little late?
Then, something else very extraordinary happened. The
Lord’s ways are mysterious indeed. Mysterious, and astounding.
As we approach Lent, the Lord presented His Holy Family, and this soul found itself kneeling at the manger in front
of the Infant Jesus, with Blessed Mother on one side, and St. Joseph on the other.
Do you know why He allowed this to occur, on the very day that a third Novena of Reparation to the Holy Face was
completed and on the Eve of the Feast of the Holy Face of Our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ?
Because that is where the Devotion to His Holy Face first began. It began with Jesus and His Mother, who gazed upon Him first.
Then, as Holy Mass approached, as this soul knelt before the Infant in the crib as before an altar, gazing into His Sacred little Face like we do when looking at a consecrated Host during Holy Mass, over the crib could be seen the gates of
heaven opened wide, with the occupants of heaven surrounding the Throne of God
in the middle, just as it occurs during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The Lord requests that this event and the subsequent intimate exchange from this morning in the confessional be shared with you here, to not only encourage you to go to Confession, but to encourage you to listen for the Lord's directives for what you should do and when you should go, and to help you make this Sacrament very meaningful, personal, and powerful.
When approached with sincerity and DEVOTION, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is transformed before us into the beautiful gift that it is and we absorb the absolutely loving exchange between creature and its Creator that is a wonderful part of His and your personal love story. Be sure to NOT miss so great a treasure!!
God is so in love with you and longs for you to accept His love and mercy, often!
Sacramental Confession on the Feast of the Holy Face of Jesus
The Sign of the Cross. Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. My last confession was...
My Lord and My God, Triune Goodness, Honesty, Purity,
Sincerity, and Love, my Purpose, my Strength and my All,
I want to thank You for giving me permission to come to confession today on the great Feast of Your Holy Face! I am sorry for my impatience while waiting for Your loving summons to return; it was more like eager anticipation, really, because I knew You had something special planned. Coming here is of great importance to my soul and I just love these moments of Divine Intimacy spent with wonderful You.
Lord, You have been so generous with me, with my family and
my friends and colleagues, indeed with every single soul You have so lovingly
created.
And what return do I give You for Your boundless love and
mercy? Sometimes my return is very poor,
Lord, and I apologize for all my faults, sensitivities, weaknesses, and
aversion to hardship.
You have taken me on a months-long journey through Your
Sacred Passion, showing me a small portion of all that You suffered for our
sake, for my Sake, and because of this, my aversion to sin has grown because I have
seen and experienced what it cost You, what it costs our relationship, and what
my sins cost humanity. So, too, has my
love for others grown.
I apologize to your Majesty for the times I have not
reverenced and appreciated You and your Most Holy Mother and my angel guardian the
way I should have, for the times I have been distracted in prayer, not
projected enough love into it, for the times I have allowed the devil to tempt
me to become frustrated, for the times I
have lacked or neglected to cultivate greater fraternal charity, and the times
I have not cooperated with grace.
I love You, Jesus, and I trust You, and thank You for
everything.
I apologize for my tremendous pride, for not always kissing
the floor after arriving at the church, for not always following through on
Your commands right away, for my worldly, materialistic and self-serving
nature, my pettiness, and for the bitterness I hold in my heart against certain
people. I do not want to dislike anyone
or hold a grudge against anyone, because You hold no bitterness or grudge
against me, but I am weak and the devil is unrelenting. Please, as You so generously forgive the
daughter and spouse who loves You and is so happy to be here, forgive as well all
those who have sinned against me and bless them abundantly so that we all may
be joyful and peaceful and loving like You.
Please liberate our consciences, Lord, and transform our hearts into
Yours and Blessed Mother’s.
I apologize to you for my stubborn nature, for the times I
have been angry, and for the time I swore three times in front of my
children. Thank you for turning that
into a teaching moment and giving me the grace to apologize to them, to you, and to
resolve to do better. They are such
blessings to me, Lord, and I thank you for three incredible treasures and for
the gifts of all those in my family.
Please bless them all in a special way, Lord, my family, friends, and
colleagues, my dear confessors, and in fact every soul ever created and yet to
be created, today, right now, on this great Feast of Your Most Holy Face.
Sweet Jesus, as I Kneel beneath Your Cross and Your Precious Blood flows down Your Sacred Body given entirely for me and for every single person you have lovingly created and will create, I ask You to make Your will clearly known to me and others, because we love You and seek to accomplish your will.
I thank You for sending me to Dr. Kraft, for the healing
taking place in my system, and strongly suspect that I will for the
rest of my life continuously suffer in union with You since on the occasion of
our espousal I also married the Cross. I
ask You to please provide the strength and insight I need to be always Your
willing instrument as Your grand designs come to fruition.
My sweet, kind, and generous Lord, once again I give myself
entirely to You, pray that Your will is accomplished in and through me completely according
to Your wishes, and promise to love and honor you all the days of my life.
Act of Contrition, said with humility, gratitude, fortitude, and trust, for itself and also for all of humanity.
Absolution.
