"A humble confession displeases Satan and, if he could,
he would make you omit Holy Communion."
he would make you omit Holy Communion."
~ Thomas A. Kempis, The Imitation of Christ
"A Reconciliation Prayer"
(audio)
Eight profoundly Catholic minutes of Divine intimacy
with Jesus at the foot of the Cross.
When was the last time you knelt at the foot of the Cross, were covered in Christ's mercy, and received the Sacrament of Divine Intimacy?
Do you
know that the Blessed Sacrament and the Sacrament of Reconciliation are
inseparable, and both should be received often?
Do you know that making
sacramental confessions and making a daily examination of conscience are
inseparable?
In the life of the body a man is sometimes sick, and unless he takes medicine, he will die. Even so in the spiritual life a man is sick on account of sin. For that reason he needs medicine so that he may be restored to health; and this grace is bestowed in the Sacrament of Penance. ~ St. Thomas Aquinas

take the advice that he will give you with the utmost humility and simplicity.
For God, Who has an infinite love for obedience,
frequently renders profitable the counsels we take from others,
but especially from those who are the guides of our souls.

Go, go often, and ascend higher!
"The confession of evil works is the first beginning of good works."
~ St. Augustine
Sacramental confessions are very liberating, and healing!
And incredibly beautiful.
God is so in love with you!

Tell souls where they are to look
for solace; that is, in the Tribunal
of Mercy. There the greatest miracles take place [and] are incessantly
repeated. To avail oneself of this miracle, it is not necessary to go
on a great pilgrimage or to carry out some external ceremony; it
suffices to come with faith to the feet of My representative and to
reveal to him one's misery, and the miracle of Divine Mercy will be
fully demonstrated. Were a soul like a decaying corpse so that from a
human standpoint, there would be no [hope of ] restoration and
everything would already be lost, it is not so with God. The miracle of
Divine Mercy restores that soul in full. Oh, how miserable are those
who do not take advantage of the miracle of God's mercy! You will call
out in vain, but it will be too late. (1448)

A Reconciliation Prayer
Oh sweet Author of Life,
Your pardon I seek as I kneel before Your Cross.
Lord, forgive me.
Immerse me in Your compassion,
for I have so little to offer you.
Even my petition for forgiveness comes from You.
You long for my approach, though wounded,
so generously willing to exchange human iniquity
with the Love that annihilates and saves,
when the soul but accepts Your invitation.
I give my nothingness entirely to You.
Divine Justice, have mercy on me,
and may all my brothers and sisters benefit also,
especially those most in need of Your saving grace.
Blood of Christ wash over me,
and transform my self into You.
Make of me the mirror
that reflects Your love to Your beloved.
I thank You for Your sacrifice and invitation,
for Your patience while awaiting my response,
as I seek Your will
while You encourage me to make my own choices.
For lovingly creating, guiding, and consoling me,
for all You have generously given me,
including the grace to recognize
that which on my own I cannot see.
For allowing me to lose, that I may win.
For giving me the opportunity to journey with You
along Your Way of the Cross.
I accept Your love,
and return to You my heart united with Yours
along with my obedience.
Thank You for everything, Thy will be done;
accept my petition to fill this dry well
with Your Divine Presence.
Amen.
