Then, two days of wedding festivities celebrating Ryan and Alyssa. What wonders.
Laughing as the ocean waves crash higher than the folded cuffs of my jeans
and get them wet;
walking with Pacific ocean sand in my shoes;
saying hello to the friendly locals;
finding the right rock on the shore to bring back to the clinic
to always have the ocean with me at work,
pure laughter and joy and crying tears of such tremendous gratitude
for this very restorative time alone in peace;
so grateful to the hotel staff for taking such fine care of me
as I ate as much as I could of the purest food offered for breakfast
since there is no place to get lunch;
four dollar bottles of water (the money means nothing to me);
so many mosaics of various kinds here;
Eucharistic Adoration
AND
the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in view of
the majestic Pacific Ocean;
remaining in close contact with JM (Judy or JJBee) at the clinic;
and that right side is somehow calmer today.
Perhaps it wants to go for a walk.
With gratitude to
Andre and Racheal & Nick and Danielle
for heading out for some young adult fun on their own for two days
after being so welcoming for me to come along with them
and for being happy for me to spend two days with God alone
before heading back to an astonishing Apostolic Mission.
