Joy returning, appetite returning, hope restoring, and the schedule ever more filling as this apostolic mission in modern times continues heading in the right direction, in imitation of and in union with Jesus Christ. What wonders! "Consider all the past as nothing, and say, like David: 'Now I begin to love my God.'" ~ Saint Francis de Sales
SAFE!
Safe in church, safe at work, safe at home. What wonders!
But that isn't what this post is about, although it is.
THE PERSON WHO HAS JESUS HAS EVERYTHING
The other day, a well intended person offered me one of three new safes.
The safe is black, 2 cubic feet, 125 pounds (so someone can't pick up and run away with it), has a digital combination lock (can program 2 additional numbers in 5 digits), and is 19 inches by 19.3 inches by 24 inches.
The safe is fire resistant for 1 hour or so, and water resistant for 8 hours.
But Jesus doesn't want to be kept in there.
"Our Lord does not come down from Heaven every day to lie in a golden ciborium. He comes to find another heaven which is infinitely dearer to Him - the heaven of our souls, created in His Image, the living temples of the Adorable Trinity." ~ Saint Therese of Lisieux
I can't be kept in there, either. 😅
True love, God's sacrificial love which spends itself as He wills for each one, in imitation of and in union with Christ's Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, cannot be contained.
It continues to grow and grow and grow and grow, to multiply and and multiply and multiply and multiply, and to spread everywhere - even places where He is not welcome.
Priceless love; what wonders!
This love is so strong that the bonds formed by it cannot ever be broken and the very gates of hell cannot prevail against it.
True value is found in God alone, not inside a safe.
Was able to wash the floor and vacuum yesterday; what wonders!
So grateful to God for this lovely and peaceful place to live, nicknamed the tree house.
Gearing up to make a huge batch of soup during the coming week, to freeze and have at the ready for time-efficient and healthy work lunches and dinners now that this apostolic appetite has started returning.
Haven't made soup in six months.
Also preparing to return to the pool somewhere indoors for the fall and winter; the inner turtle really needs to get back into the water.
Awaiting the Lord's perfect timing to sit and write the rest of the Tridentine documentary's script en masse; once that happens the production of a lot of multimedia material will start gushing forth and all of it will be put onto Joseph Karl Publishing's website, for every soul.
So grateful to God for this time the past few weeks to rest and heal while adjusting to a much earlier start six days a week.
Also compiling stories for a special post that is coming. It has to do with the incredible wonders that happen at work and just might be called "Dr. Mark and the Jushells" (happy laughter).
God is so good, and so are His people.
Hoping to write more about the other incredibly caring people who helped get this apostolic mission back on track and headed in the right direction; among them are a dental team, our patients, my delightful now grown children, and of course phenomenal Bas who has been doing my hair for decades. So eternally grateful to every one of them.
Always always always so grateful to Dr. Wonderful.
Hoping to gather soon with good people.
We talk about doing K-Pop karoake.
Hoping to also write more first-person accounts, which suddenly have started coming (including stories from the past).
What wonders.
Very sore writing left hand.
People keep asking me when that non-dominant writing hand needs to be covered what happened to it.
Years ago the wrist and upper hand were impaled with a crown of thorns during a dream overnight.
The very painful crown of thorns could not be removed, no matter how hard I tried.
Apostolic mission.
Born to write for the Lord.
Needing on this day to downsize the things in the garage and make more room to load up the vehicle before leaving for work, under cover and away from the elements including rain and snow. It won't take long.
As in all things, may God's will be done.
SAFE! 😀
