Chapter 11: "Sacrificial Obedience"

Subtitle: "The Wedding Stamp." From the Tridentine documentary's script, for every soul. What Bridegroom has a stamp created, and then used, for His wedding each day to every soul? "Christ is not valued at all, unless He is valued above all." ~ Saint Augustine

WHO ASKS FOR SOMEONE ELSE (OTHER THAN ONE'S BETROTHED) ON HIS OR HER WEDDING DAY?

Who is engaged after already having been married, the day before, and then is wed on each successive day during the grandest offering and most lavish celebration possible during this life?

Our Lord's teaching sure is full of surprises, particularly during this unprecedented year.

This significant occasion for every soul began, after having never ended, the evening prior to the offering of the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated in Latin the next morning.

"Obedience is a penance of reason, and, on that account, a sacrifice more acceptable than all corporal penances and mortifications. ~ Saint John of the Cross

THE NIGHT BEFORE THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS

What Bridegroom asks His beloved about someone else?

"He bore and sustained all this in order to be fully obedient to His eternal Father. And He showed that His obedience was perfect when not only was He subject to His Father, but also, through obedience to this Father, He submitted to the lordship of the vilest sinners at whose hands He received so cruel a death; and then He completed His obedience."  ~ Saint Catherine of Bologna

On this evening after work, in the holy peace and quiet just before retiring for the night, our Lord asks about someone He favors, and asks,

"Where is he?"

Our Lord longs for a certain someone; this person is a metaphor for all people, meaning that  our Lord loves, longs for, became man for, suffered and died to redeem, rose from the dead for, and comes to us in the Blessed Sacrament for all of us collectively and for every single one of us in particular.

He longs for each one of us to love Him whole-heartedly and above all.

Jesus the Divine Bridegroom of every soul longs for us to seek Him, to find Him, to learn from Him, to imitate Him, to follow God's Commandments, to receive the Sacraments He instituted personally for our sake, to love and obey and serve Him during this life, and to be with Him for eternity in the next life.

THE NEXT MORNING DURING THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS

"Obedience is a consecration of the heart, chastity of the body, and poverty of all worldly goods to the love and service of God.  Blessed indeed are the obedient, for God will never permit them to go astray." ~ Saint. Francis De Sales

What beloved then asks her Bridegroom about someone else while on the way to church for the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated in Latin?

While on the way to church, our Lord's question is returned to Him, because you desire what God desires.

Lord, where is the one whom You seek?

Together with Jesus, you will be petitioning Almighty God for this person’s sake through the Work of Reparation to His Holy Face during the offering of the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated in Latin as our Divine Good Shepherd seeks out the lost sheep whom He favors.

What wonders.

THE WEDDING STAMP

God said to St. Catherine of Siena, "Daughter, this is what I want: That you seek to please me by you deep hunger and concern for the salvation of souls. But neither you nor anyone else can achieve this without accepting whatever sufferings I grant."

While offering the Prayers of Reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus to Almighty God during the Holy Sacrifice, it is manifested in a much more profound manner in the supernatural that the Holy Face of Jesus is the Divine Wedding Stamp.

Since human behavior is to be modeled after Christ’s, we are to apply this wedding stamp daily, beginning during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and then while continuing to live in imitation of Christ for the rest of the time remaining in each day and each night.

Our Lord told Sr. Mary of St. Peter that the image of His Holy Face is like a Divine Stamp, which, if applied to souls through prayer, has the power of imprinting anew within them the image of God.

THE PRAYER TO REPRODUCE THE IMAGE OF GOD IN OUR SOULS

I salute You, I adore You, and I love You, O adorable Face of my beloved Jesus, as the noble stamp of the Divinity! Completely surrendering my soul to You, I most humbly beg You to stamp this seal upon us all, so that the image of God may once more be reproduced by its imprint in our souls. Amen.

WHAT BRIDEGROOM USES A DEAD LANGUAGE FOR THE SACRIFICIAL WEDDING CELEBRATION?

Such wonders, all the things that God does.

THE WEDDING HOLY SACRIFICE ON THIS DAY IS A REQUIEM MASS, WHILE MAKING REPARATION

"Without a doubt, obedience is more meritorious than any other penance. And what greater penance can there be than keeping one's will continually submissive and obedient" ~ Saint Catherine of Bologna

This Holy Sacrifice of the Mass happens to be a Requiem Mass, for the repose of the soul of someone who had very recently passed into eternal life.

"Does a person feel when any member of his body is amputated? Could your leg be cut off without pain? Ah, then, think: that physical pain is but a figure, a very slight figure, of the anguish caused to the Heart and Soul of Jesus while He lived His suffering life on earth, of the anguish caused by those who He foresaw would be separated, severed from Him forever.

"Save Him that pain, faithful souls. If you love your Lord, keep close to Him, and if you live with Him, you will learn to love what He loves; you will live in Him, for Him, and He, your Love, will daily draw near to you.

"He will draw you into an ineffable union with Himself on earth, a commencement of that eternal union which will be your life in that glad world of Angels and Saints to which you are journeying, and in which God will reveal Himself to you as His, the most beautiful, most desirable, most lovable." ~ Mother Mary Potter, Devotion for the Dying, pp. 207-208.

THE RAYS COMING FROM THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS FORM A SORT OF CLOCK, AND A POIGNANT REMINDER THAT IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE TO APPLY HOLY OBEDIENCE TO THE PRECIOUS AND PRICELESS RESOURCE OF TIME EACH ONE OF US HAS BEEN GIVEN SO THAT NONE OF IT IS MISUSED OR WASTED

Even the longest life is short, and finite. The time each one of us is God-given is precious, and priceless.

THE CONSECRATION: BOTH SACRED SPECIES CONTAIN THE "ECCE HOMO!" OF CHRIST, AN APOSTOLIC MISSION IN MODERN TIMES, AND THE CHAPTERS OF THE TRIDENTINE DOCUMENTARY'S SCRIPT

"Union of the soul with God is not accomplished so much in the sweetness of prayer, as in embracing perfectly the holy will of God."  ~ Father Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D., "Divine Intimacy," p. 62.

THE LORD'S PRAYER AND THE OFFERING OF YOUR BLOODY SWEAT TO ALMIGHTY GOD, MEANING THE SURRENDERING OF YOUR WILL TO ACCOMPLISH THE MOST PERFECT WILL OF GOD THE FATHER IN IMITATION OF AND IN UNION WITH CHRIST, FOR THE GREATER HONOR AND GLORY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY AND THEN FOR THE SAKE OF THE WHOLE WORLD IN OUR TIME

The wedding prayer of one’s holy fidelity to our Triune God is the wedding offering of one’s self to Christ.

HOLY COMMUNION

What Bridegroom multiplies Himself so that He can come to and be unified with everyone?

The music in the holy silence is requiem-themed for this wedding-sacrifice that honors God and benefits every person ever as it is celebrated using a dead language.

What wonders!

DIVINE UNION OF THE "ECCE HOMO!": TWO BECOME ONE FLESH AND ONE APOSTOLIC MISSION IN CHRIST AS ALMIGHTY GOD WILLS FOR HIS GREATER HONOR AND GLORY AND THEN FOR THE SAKE OF THE WHOLE WORLD IN OUR TIME

"Obedience unites us so closely to God that in a way transforms us into Him, so that we have no other will but His. If obedience is lacking, even prayer cannot be pleasing to God." ~ Saint Thomas Aquinas

LAVISH LOVE: THE CONCLUSION IS THE BEGINNING

Who leaves Mount Calvary to go to Mount Calvary?

Jesus then remains with you through the rest of the day and the night, where ever yo ugo and where ever you are, properly caring for you through others while properly caring for others through you.
