What
Bridegroom has a stamp created, and then used, for His wedding to every
soul? This spectacular lesson from the Tridentine documentary's script's Chapter 11, called
"Sacrificial Obedience," came during the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass one recent morning at St. Joseph's. What wonders!
WHO ASKS FOR SOMEONE ELSE (OTHER THAN ONE'S BETROTHED) ON HIS OR HER WEDDING DAY?
"Christ is not valued at all, unless He is valued above all." ~ Saint Augustine
Our Lord's teaching sure is full of surprises, particularly this unprecedented year.
Then particularly again on this occasion.
This important lesson for every soul began the night before the celebration of the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Latin the next morning.
"Obedience
is a penance of reason, and, on that account, a sacrifice more
acceptable than all corporal penances and mortifications. ~ Saint John
of the Cross
THE NIGHT BEFORE THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS
What Bridegroom asks His beloved about someone else?
"He bore and sustained all this in order to be fully obedient to His eternal Father. And He showed that His obedience was perfect when not only was He subject to His Father, but also, through obedience to this Father, He submitted to the lordship of the vilest sinners at whose hands He received so cruel a death; and then He completed His obedience." ~ Saint Catherine of Bologna
On this night, our Lord asks about someone He favors, and asks,
"Where is he?"
Our Lord longs for a certain someone, and this person is also a metaphor meaning that it is each one of us generally speaking that our Lord loves, longs for, became man for, suffered and died to redeem, rose from the dead for, and comes to us in the Blessed Sacrament for.
He longs for each one of us, each individual, to love Him in return God's way, which is always the right way.
Jesus the Divine Bridegroom of every soul longs for us to seek Him, to learn from Him, to imitate Him, to follow God's Commandments, to receive the Sacraments He instituted personally for our sake, to serve Him during this life, and to be with Him for eternity in the next life.
THE NEXT MORNING DURING THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS
"Obedience is a consecration of the heart, chastity of the body, and poverty of all worldly goods to the love and service of God. Blessed indeed are the obedient, for God will never permit them to go astray." ~ Saint. Francis De Sales
What beloved asks her Bridegroom about someone else while on the way to church for the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated in Latin?
While on the way to church, our Lord's question is returned to Him, because you desire what God desires.
Lord, where is the one whom you seek?
THE WEDDING STAMP
God said to St. Catherine of Siena, "Daughter, this is what I want: That you seek to please me by you deep hunger and concern for the salvation of souls. But neither you nor anyone else can achieve this without accepting whatever sufferings I grant."
While offering the Prayers of Reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus to Almighty God during the Holy Sacrifice, it is manifested that the Holy Face of Jesus is the Divine Wedding Stamp.
Since human behavior is to be modeled after that of Christ, we are to apply this wedding stamp daily, beginning with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and continuing to live according to Christ the rest of the time left in each day.
Our Lord told Sr. Mary of St. Peter that the Image of His Holy Face is like a Divine Stamp, which, if applied to souls through prayer, has the power of imprinting anew within them the Image of God.
Prayer to Reproduce the Image of God in Our Souls: "I salute You, I adore You, and I love You, O adorable Face of my beloved Jesus, as the noble stamp of the Divinity! Completely surrendering my soul to You, I most humbly beg You to stamp this seal upon us all, so that the image of God may once more be reproduced by its imprint in our souls. Amen."
WHAT BRIDEGROOM USES A DEAD LANGUAGE FOR THE SACRIFICIAL WEDDING CELEBRATION?
Such wonders, the things that God does.
THE WEDDING REQUIEM MASS WHILE MAKING REPARATION
"Without a doubt, obedience is more meritorious than any other penance. And what greater penance can there be than keeping one's will continually submissive and obedient" ~ Saint Catherine of Bologna
This Holy Sacrifice of the Mass happens to be a Requiem Mass, for the repose of the soul of someone who had very recently passed into eternal life.
THE RAYS COMING FROM THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS FORM A SORT OF CLOCK
Even the longest life is short, and finite.
Time is precious, and priceless.
THE CONSECRATION: BOTH SACRED SPECIES CONTAIN THE "ECCE HOMO!" OF CHRIST AND CONTAIN WITHIN THEM AN APOSTOLIC MISSION AND THE CHAPTERS OF THE TRIDENTINE DOCUMENTARY'S SCRIPT
"Union
of the soul with God is not accomplished so much in the sweetness of
prayer, as in embracing perfectly the holy will of God." ~ Father
Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D., "Divine Intimacy," p. 62.
THE LORD'S PRAYER AND THE OFFERING OF YOUR BLOODY SWEAT, MEANING THE SURRENDERING OF YOUR WILL TO ACCOMPLISH ALMIGHTY GOD'S MOST PERFECT WILL AND IN UNION WITH CHRIST, TO GOD OUR FATHER FOR THE GREATER HONOR AND GLORY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY AND THEN FOR THE SAKE OF THE WHOLE WORLD IN OUR TIME
The wedding prayer is the wedding offering.
HOLY COMMUNION
What Bridegroom multiplies Himself so that He can come to and be unified with everyone?
The music in the silence is requiem-themed for this wedding benefiting every soul while celebrated using a dead language.
What wonders!
DIVINE UNION OF THE "ECCE HOMO!", TWO UNIFIED AS ONE IN CHRIST AS ALMIGHTY GOD WILLS FOR HIS GREATER HONOR AND GLORY AND THEN FOR THE SAKE OF THE WHOLE WORLD IN OUR TIME
"Obedience
unites us so closely to God that in a way transforms us into Him, so
that we have no other will but His. If obedience is lacking, even prayer
cannot be pleasing to God." ~ Saint Thomas Aquinas
THE CONCLUSION IS THE BEGINNING
Jesus then accompanies you wherever else you go for the rest of this day and through the night, caring for you through others and making up for whatever is lacking by other people in your care, while caring for others through you and making up for what is lacking in your care for them.
And so, each moment, let us begin again in imitation of and in union with Christ.
