This poignant reminder that took place right after work, following a spectacularly beautiful Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass early this morning, reminds us all to be discerning, and very careful.
THE TRADITIONAL TRIDENTINE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS THIS MORNING
It was absolutely beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful from start to finish.
So grateful.
THE WOMAN ON THE GROUND IN FRONT OF THE CLINIC RIGHT AFTER WORK
While almost at the end of the clinic parking lot, where it meets the main road, you suddenly noticed what looked like a small, elderly woman laying on the grass just off the sidewalk.
You almost did not notice her, as your focus was forward toward the main road where you were going to stop and then after looking both ways, turn right.
The individual on the ground was laying on the grass in front of the clinic to the left; it appeared that she had been walking on the sidewalk and had fallen.
What wonders; you had not seen her out front while getting ready to leave for the day.
But there she was, just as you were leaving.
So you rolled down your window and asked her if she needed help, and then repeated the question after having not heard her answer due to the noise from the main road.
You still could not hear what she was saying.
So you put your vehicle in park and went to the woman, and helped her get back on her feet.
ODD ODD ODD ODD
Never was it your intention to give this unfamiliar person a ride anywhere.
You asked her if she had fallen, as at first you thought this person was perhaps sitting on the grass for whatever reason, and she replied that she had broken her back.
You repeated her answer, and she clarified that she had broken her back three months ago.
You noticed while easily helping the small woman to her feet that her open purse was very full and it looked quite heavy for a small woman with a broken back to carry.
You asked for her first name and then addressed her by it, wished her well, and then returned to your vehicle.
The next thing you knew, she had opened the passenger door and attempted to get into the vehicle.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT EARLY THIS AFTERNOON
You instructed the woman not to get into the vehicle and even though she had every intention of getting in anyway, the front seat was already occupied with books, a binder, a clipboard, notes, and prayers for the Tridentine Documentary.
"No. No. No," you kept adamantly telling the woman.
Then she asked if she should get into the back seat instead, and was about to shut the door and enter through the back door.
"NO. I am not driving you anywhere," you resolutely told that unknown individual.
Thanks be to God that person shut the passenger side door and you continued on your way.
As soon as there was a charge on your phone, a call was made to your colleague still at work and she was warned what had just happened, for she had not seen it.
The entire situation appeared to have been well orchestrated.
JKP'S BACKUP COMPUTER IS WORKING ONCE AGAIN BUT IT NEEDS A NEW PART
The main operating system is still imprisoned in customs, its new tariff having been paid, but apparently others who also have goods in the shipment have not paid their tariff(s) and so it remains there in limbo.
The outlook is another two weeks, but the way this has been going, that seems not likely and so video production remains suspended.
