It happened suddenly late Wednesday evening, following a ten hour day at the clinic.
THE SUDDEN FOREWARNING
The forewarning came three days after your son's wedding, two days after the forces of darkness had on auto repeat all day long that you looked so ugly at your son's and daughter-in-law's lavishly loving wedding, and also as there was news early this week from On High about the Tridentine Documentary.
However, the forces of darkness were not content with having hated you all day verbally.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
All of a sudden, following a day that began at 4 a.m. and included the offering of the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated in Latin prior to a ten hour day at the clinic, just before retiring for the day, our Lord provided a forewarning.
The forces of darkness were going to knock you to the ground.
Within just a few minutes at the most, after accepting the inevitable if it was God's will, down you were going in the living room.
However, you managed to stay upright.
What wonders.
Immediately after that you found yourself headed for a wooden bookshelf holding family pictures and then landed on it, hard.
Then you crashed to the ground along with items raining down from the shelves, including a metal five pound container.
The first thing that came to mind was how grateful you were that the container did not land on a hand or on your head.
Then, the pain set in.
That was followed by the very slow process of getting up.
BLACK, BLUE, AND PURPLE
very painful for days.
Both wrists jammed, the left one the most.
Both knees bruised.
Very sore neck.
Unthinkably sore left shoulder.
Bruised upper and lower left arm.
Somehow the bottoms of both feet were hurt; still no idea how that happened.
THURSDAY
You made it to church the next morning, hurting in so many places and with kneeling even and far more painful than usual.
But there was quiet and grateful conversation with Perfection regarding the news unfolding about the Tridentine Documentary.
Making it to work was important as well; thanks be to Dr. M who adjusted your spine first that morning and recommended ice as your best friend.
Late Thursday afternoon and evening were spent on ice.
There was no Holy Mass for you on Friday morning; instead, there was a little more rest and recovery prior to another ten hour day at the clinic.
