From the Tridentine Documentary's Part 3: This Traditional Catholic Mystical Wedding Theology Lesson focuses on holy humility, sacrificially loving cooperation, each person’s God-given mission, and the Divine Wedding Planner by taking a closer look at The Wedding at Cana and the apostolic holy apostolate of the Immaculate Mother of Jesus the Divine Bridegroom of every soul. "An act of renunciation is an act of union with God. The Divine Master looks lovingly upon a person who gains a victory over self." ~ Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat
Please note that the material for Chapter 19 came late in the year 2024
and was final-edited in print one year later,
after the material for Parts 5 - 6 (Chapters 37 - 54)
suddenly began coming in Autumn 2025.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND THE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY THAT FOLLOWED
"I understand that love alone imparts life to all the members of the Church, so that should love ever fail, apostles would no longer preach the Gospel and martyrs would refuse to shed their blood. I realize that love includes every vocation, that love is all things, that love is eternal, reaching down through the ages and stretching to the uttermost limits of earth!" ~ Saint Therese of Lisieux
The astonishing physical reparative suffering is so great after work on Tuesday afternoon and into the evening that on Wednesday morning rising as planned at 4 a.m. is not possible.
The 7:15 a.m. Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is out of the question.
At 5 a.m. there is a second attempt to get going, after asking Almighty God for His assistance because it will be a long day caring for others at the clinic.
Then, what wonders, there is a very grateful start to the day.
"If we wish to attain to detachment and to total renunciation we must love much."
~ Father Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D., "Divine Intimacy," p. 1054
Jesus the compassionate Divine Bridegroom of every soul preferred there be additional time to rest this morning prior to working, even when that meant missing the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
"He who embraces the cross and bears it with patience lightens the weight of the cross. Indeed, the weight itself becomes a consolation; for God abounds with grace to all those who carry the cross with good will in order to please Him." ~ Saint Alphonsus Liguori
THURSDAY MORNING: A RETURN TO SAINT JOSEPH'S FOR THE 7:15 A.M. TRADITIONAL TRIDENTINE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS
How unfathomably happy you are to be back.
As in all things, may God’s will be done!
"Good friends find pleasure in one another’s company. Let us know pleasure in the company of our best Friend, a Friend who can do everything for us, a Friend who loves us beyond measure. Here in the Blessed Sacrament we can talk to Him straight from the heart. We can open our souls to Him, tell Him what we need, beg Him for powerful graces. We are perfectly free to approach the King of the Universe with full confidence and without fear." ~ Saint Alphonsus Liguori
THE WEDDING AT CANA AND EACH SOUL’S WEDDING TO CHRIST
During the offering of the Holy Sacrifice in the natural, a comparison is made to you in the supernatural to The Wedding at Cana.
From John 2:1-11 (Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition):
"And the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there. And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage. And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: ‘They have no wine.’
“And Jesus saith to her: 'Woman, what is that to me and to thee? My hour is not yet come.'
“His mother saith to the waiters: 'Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye.'
“Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures apiece. Jesus saith to them: 'Fill the waterpots with water.' And they filled them up to the brim. And Jesus saith to them: 'Draw out now, and carry to the chief steward of the feast.' And they carried it.
“And when the chief steward had tasted the water made wine, and knew not whence it was, but the waiters knew who had drawn the water; the chief steward calleth the bridegroom, and saith to him: 'Every man at first setteth forth good wine, and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse. But thou hast kept the good wine until now.'
“This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee; and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him."
The consideration of The Wedding at Cana together with The Wedding to Christ that takes place during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass focuses on Christ our Redeemer and Divine Bridegroom of every soul, on Almighty God our Eternal Father as the Divine Royal Wedding Planner for every soul, and on the indispensable God-given role of the Immaculate Mother of the Divine Bridegroom as the Divine Wedding Planner’s Mediatrix of His vast treasury of necessary Divine supernatural graces for us all.
“The Lord was invited and came to a wedding. Is it any wonder that he who came to that house for a wedding came to this world for a wedding? ... Therefore He has a bride here whom He has redeemed by His Blood and to whom He has given the Holy Spirit as a pledge. He wrested her from enslavement to evil, He died for her sins. He arose again for her justification.
“Who will offer such great things to his bride? Men may offer some trinket or other from the earth ... Will any offer his Blood? For if he gives his blood to his bride, he will not be alive to take her as his wife.
“But the Lord, dying free of anxiety, gave His Blood for her in order that when He arose, He might have her whom He had already joined to himself in the womb of the Virgin. For the Word was the Bridegroom, and human flesh was the bride.”
~ Saint Augustine
THE ROLE OF WEDDING PLANNERS AND THE OUTCOME OF THE WEDDING
This lesson now compares the popular role of modern wedding planners to the less popular role of Almighty God our Divine Creator, Eternal Father and Supreme Authority, as the Divine Wedding Planner for each person’s commitment to His Only-Begotten Son the Divine Bridegroom of every soul.
"Above all, get in the habit of thinking about God". ~ Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat
Wedding planners are hired and paid to fulfill the wishes of the groom and his bride.
God’s people choose to fulfill His wishes, at all cost to self and without counting the personal cost, in imitation of and in union with Christ our Divine Restorer and Divine Remedy for All.
WED BY EXAMPLE
“Your example, even more than your words, will be an eloquent lesson to the world.” ~ Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat
Wed to Christ, one never has to compromise one’s principles to make the marriage work.
However, to make the marriage work one must surrender one’s self to accomplishing God’s will, in imitation of and in union with Christ.
One commits one’s self to the greatest Example there is, the Spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and then one becomes a good example to others, in imitation of and in union with Christ.
Modern weddings are mostly Godless displays built on the unstable sandy foundations of financial interests.
They encourage an unholy pleasing of one’s self under the guise of external beauty that can be purchased with currency.
Weddings to Christ require Divine currency: the spending one’s self in imitation of and in union with Jesus along the Way of the Cross that leads to Mount Calvary, which ultimately leads to heaven through the Wedding Gate: Jesus the Divine Bridegroom of every soul.
Weddings to Christ are built on the rock using materials provided by our Divine Carpenter King within Almighty God’s Divine Economy of Salvation.
“Whatever you do, think not of yourself but of God.” ~ Saint Vincent Ferrer
Those who follow Christ along the Way of the Cross, come what may and without counting the personal cost and who remain focused on accomplishing the most perfect will of God, may be half of human relationships that won’t work through no fault of their own.
However, they may be part of the most important relationship possible, one’s relationship to God in union with Christ, guided by the Holy Ghost, and thanks be to God these Holy Trinity–centered relationships can produce unfathomably beautiful fruit of the most costly variety that on the surface seems so unappealing to the eyes of the world.
“Once humility is acquired, charity will come to life; a burning flame devouring the corruption of vice and filling the heart so full that there is no place for vanity.” ~ Saint Vincent Ferrer
JESUS’ DIVINE IDENTITY IS REVEALED AT EVERY WEDDING CELEBRATED DURING THE OFFERING OF THE TRADITIONAL TRIDENTINE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS
At Cana, Jesus' Divine and messianic identity was revealed at a wedding after the wine had run out, when His Immaculate Mother requested He create more which He did by changing water into wine.
During the daily offering of the Traditional Tridentine Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Jesus provides us with His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament as the Divine Royal Wedding Banquet and He comes to us through the Blessed Mother of the Divine Bridegroom.
He came to us first through her, and likewise we are to go to Him through Her.
What wonders!
EVIL SEEKS TO WED US ALSO AND TO UNIFY US TO ERROR AND CORRUPTION; WHAT FOLLOWS AN INDIVIDUAL’S WEDDING TO SIN IS UNION TO AND CONSUMMATION WITH EVIL AND THE CREATION OF MORE UNHOLY TROUBLE
Our Divine Remedy for all is Jesus Christ who was and is so graciously and lovingly provided to us by God our Eternal Father and perfectly loving Divine Royal Wedding Planner.
“Christ the Bridegroom placed in this world six stone water jugs, six penitential works, for cleaning and purifying our souls." ~ Saint Vincent Ferrer
According to Saint Vincent Ferrer, the six water jugs set out for purification during the wedding at Cana, which Jesus transformed into wine at the request of His Immaculate Mother, represent heartfelt contrition, sacramental confession, penitential affliction (voluntary penance), spiritual prayers, merciful giving, and the forgiveness of injuries.
LOOKING TO HUMANS TO BE OUR PROVIDERS INSTEAD OF GOD LEAVES US TROUBLED AND WANTING
Weddings to Christ by their nature encourage us to willingly unify our wills to Almighty God’s will in imitation of and in union with Christ, guided by the Holy Ghost, the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the Immaculate Mother of God.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass provides us with the Divinely provided Divine supernatural graces necessary to renounce ourselves, which makes loving in imitation of Christ possible through union with His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament during Holy Communion.
The Divine Bridegroom of every soul wants every one of us to get to heaven and He is the Way.
There is no other way.
"Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).
Marriages between one man and one woman were instituted by God with God as marriage’s very essence, and each spouse is to assist the other to fulfill his/her God-given mission by accomplishing God’s will for him/her, and to increase in holiness throughout life while growing ever closer to God, to ultimately to get to heaven.
“If you truly want to help the soul of your neighbor, you should approach God first, with all of your heart.” ~ Saint Vincent Ferrer
THE WEDDING KEY: REMAIN FOCUSED ON GOD AT ALL TIMES
Remain focused on serving God and on worshiping Him alone, and then on accomplishing the most perfect will of God our Father, guided by the Holy Ghost, in imitation of Christ and in union with Him through His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
Stay close to Our Lady, our God-given Mediatrix of all His lavish and necessary supernatural graces.
“If there is one thing that Jesus Christ taught, insisted on, it was that our minds and hearts should be set not on the things of this world but on the things of God. How do we become more like God? By becoming more and more detached from everything in this world", in imitation of Almighty God and in union with Christ.” ~ Servant of God, Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J., “The Divine Attributes Retreat: The Attributes of God, The Holiness of God”
HOLY COMMUNION: LOVE EVERLASTING
“For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting” (John 3:16-18, Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition).
After having received the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus the Divine Bridegroom of every soul suddenly and very privately thanks you in the peace and quiet.
This is stunning and unexpected and you reply, "Jesus, I should be thanking YOU a lot more.”
THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT REMAINS WITH YOU A LOT LONGER THAN USUAL, THE LONGEST EVER
“Whenever you begin any good work you should first of all make a most pressing appeal to Christ our Lord to bring it to perfection.” ~ Saint Benedict
The Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist is the best Wedding Present possible, and He provides us with Himself over and over and over and over.
One cannot out-give the Divine Giver of Himself, but it sure is fun trying in imitation of and in union with Him.
The length of time our Lord remains with you in the Sacred Host is stunning, and comforting, and most delightful.
He remains with you in this manner for the length of His choosing, as you head to work and while praying the Holy Rosary of Our Lady in Latin.
“Whoever observes this practice (the Holy Rosary of Our Lady) is beyond the reach of adversity!“ ~ Saint Vincent Ferrer
