Early in the afternoon yesterday, my 17 year old son Andre was standing by the pantry while our family worked together to clear the dishes and put away the food following lunch.
Andre held an empty container in his hands and declared, "We're out of plastic wrap."
I replied, "Ascend higher."
He looked way up high toward the top shelf in the pantry and responded, "That's what I thought."
There was a new container in stock up above.
We all got a big kick out of the language, our Catholic jargon.
Ascend higher.
What a tremendous joy it is to be Catholic!
We are so grateful for the gift of our faith, and for one another.
What type of Catholic lingo do you use with the ones you love?
+ Ascend higher! +
(big smile)
God is at work, in each one of us.
